Happy May! Happy Monday!
Over the last few weeks, I've been reflecting on the relationships in my life and how they affect my well-being. I've come to realize that the quality of my relationships is directly proportional to the quality of my life.
Social wealth refers to the value we derive from our relationships with others, such as our family, friends, lovers, colleagues, and acquaintances. As I cultivate social wealth and surround myself with positive, uplifting, and supportive people, I feel more inspired, motivated, and fulfilled. Conversely, as I distance myself from negative and toxic people, I feel lighter, freer, and more at peace. Through this process of reflection, or what I’ve coined ‘My Relationship Audits’, I've learned the importance of investing my time and energy in relationships that nourish and enrich me, and letting go of those that do not.
To build social wealth through positive relationships, I encourage you to conduct your personal Relationship Audits. Take some time to reflect on the people in your life and consider the following questions:
- Does this person support and encourage me?
- Do I feel energized and inspired when I spend time with this person?
- Do I trust and respect this person, and do they reciprocate those feelings?
If you answer "no" to any of these questions, it may be time to reassess the relationship and consider whether it's adding to or detracting from your social wealth. As my best friend Oprah says, “Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.”

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
